Beyond the Page

“I never knew I was a writer. While these words flow through my own two hands, I find it hard to take credit for the beauty of this story other than the dedication of time to let it flow.

These stories didn’t come from a storyboard or a plot line sketch. It came sentence by unknown sentence every day I was called to write. Just as readers never know what’s to come next, that’s how writing the Paths of Shanah was for me.

When I look back now as I get this beautiful work ready for you to treasure, I am awed by what has flowed through me. In my humble description, I call this channel writing. I set myself aside and let what comes speak for itself.

The result is astounding. Imagine never knowing the next sentence… or what will happen to Shanah, Ona, Rayth, Teeghan, Narvesh or Agi next. I didn’t!

For those of you with the gift of hearing something unexplainable, I encourage you to put pen to paper, fingers to keys, listen and write. Set yourself aside, don’t impart your will, and hold each word sacred.

Write the word you hear, then the next and next… until they form full sentences. Then messages, poems and maybe just maybe an entire novel series.
